This striking yellow and white quilt is embroidered on the white squares with yellow and gray  floral cross stitch design.  This quilt would look wonderful draped at the end of the bed or on an armchair.  Even though the quilt feels quite solid, the fabric is worn in many places on the yellow blocks.  Another note-  somewhere along the line, a band of muslin approximately 9" has been sewn over the quilt top at either end.  You can see the quilt through it underneath so I am not sure what the motivation for this was.  Also of note is that this operation was done by machine- the rest of the quilt was stitched by hand.  If I were queen, I would remove this overlay and restore it to it's original glory.  This is a very cheerful, pretty quilt.  The backing is white muslin and has some age spots.  56x72
